What would I say about my ladies ballet class? I love it! In fact I said that after my first lesson and have thought it after every lesson over the last 2 years.

I am a typical busy working mum, I really enjoy most sports and I am always listening to music. I have tried virtually every sport, including hockey, netball, tennis etc but none of these achieve the same level of enjoyment as ballet does for me.

I remember when I saw the notice advertising ladies ballet it appealed to me instantly because I could combine exercise with music and dance. Oh my goodness it is so much more than that, it combines physical strength, poise, elegance, balance and co-ordination. It stimulates mind as you have to concentrate on your feet, legs/core, back, shoulders, head, all in different ways and at different times. The hours fly by every week, you quiet literally do not have time to think of anything else, you are concentrating so hard on combining all the skills needed. I love it!

The best form of exercise ever! Super toner and strength developer. Great for all standards and how rewarding to just dance! The music is so inspiring. From one ballet teacher and ex-dancer, Louise is a fabulous teacher who can develop all the exercises from beginners standard to advanced - she's excellent!

Why Ballet? The graceful movements and classical music enable you to escape from the outside world for an hour. Although I have never done yoga or pilates, I could imagine that ballet has elements of both. Even though I like the gym, I haven't found an enjoyable exercise that keeps my sides firm the way ballet does and focuses on posture. And, it's loads of fun!
